October 30, 2024

A wonderful Wednesday to you!  Happy Halloween Eve.  On this day, you do not know what you do not know.

October 30, 2024 is a good day for the federal government.  Today, the federal government currently has 112 documents from 47 agencies (482 Pages) with 95 Notices, 4 Proposed Rules, 13 Rules, and 1 Significant Document.    With this current issue, Federal Register / Vol. 89, No. 210 / Wednesday, October 30, 2024 / Notices is up to page 86712.  The federal government is busy.

The 1 Significant Document:

National Primary Drinking Water Regulations for Lead and Copper: Improvements (LCRI)
by the Environmental Protection Agency on 10/30/2024.

This shows the final rule issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  “After consideration of public comment on the LCRI, and consistent with the provisions set forth under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), the EPA is finalizing revisions to the NPDWR for lead and copper. In this rule, the agency is finalizing requirements for drinking water systems to replace lead and certain galvanized service lines. The final rule also removes the lead trigger level, reduces the lead action level to 0.010 mg/L, and strengthens tap sampling procedures to improve public health protection and simplify implementation relative to the 2021 Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR). Further, this final rule strengthens corrosion control treatment, public education and consumer awareness, requirements for small systems, and sampling in schools and child care facilities. The final rule will significantly reduce the adverse human health impacts of exposure to toxic lead in drinking water.”

This goes into effect on December 30, 2024.

Note: https://www.regulations.gov/ is the place to go when you want to make comments any proposed rules from most government agencies.  More on this later.

US Debt Clock Update

According to the US Debt Clock at roughly 11:33 AM, the US debt is roughly $35,836,810,000,000.    The debt per tax payer is $271,888.   The good news is that the federal government revenue is roughly $5,015,800,000,000.  Not too shabby if you ask me.

Special Note: Interest of Debt (Net) is $980,531,000,000.

The Sun

From Spaceweather.com, “GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH (G1): A CME might graze Earth on Nov. 1st, sparking a minor G1-class geomagnetic storm. The CME was hurled into space by an erupting filament of magnetism on Oct. 29th. A NASA model shows the CME barely touching Earth, so this is a low probability forecast. CME impact alerts: SMS Text

Amazing website with great information about the Earth-Sun environment.
