Happy Monday! On this day, you do not know what you do not know.
October 28, 2024 is a good day for the federal government. Today, the federal government currently has 106 documents from 53 agencies (430 Pages) with 85 Notices, 2 Presidential Documents, 7 Proposed Rules, 12 Rules. With this current issue, Federal Register / Vol. 89, No. 208 / Monday, October 28, 2024 / Notices is up to page 85850. The federal government is busy making everything better! It might be time to double check the power in government.
Interesting items today, 2 Presidential Documents:
United Nations Day, 2024 by the Executive Office of the President on 10/28/2024.
Today is a day to celebrate eight (8) decades of the first United Nations General Assembly. The Presidential Document presents the multitude of ways the United Nations General Assembly has impacted American people. To celebrate, the President declared October 24, 2024 as United Nations Day. So, with that happy belated United Nations Day!
Continuation of the National Emergency With Respect to Sudan by the Executive Office of the President on 10/28/2024.
Essentially, the President is extending the current declaration of a national emergency in Sudan. Makes sense to me! As I am sure it makes sense to you as well. This continuation is one of several starting back in November 1997. It seems that this national emergency will continue beyond November 2024. There might be an end, but not sure that anyone really knows anything about it. Might com back to this later, but do not hold your breath.
