November 8, 2024 - A good day

It is Friday!

You do not know what you do not know.

Friday, November 8, 2024 is a great day for the federal government.  Today, the federal government currently records 152 documents from 57 agencies (240 Pages) with 131 Notices, 2 Presidential Documents, 11 Proposed Rules, 8 Rules, and 1 Significant Document.    With this current issue, Federal Register / Vol. 89, No. 217 / Friday, November 8, 2024 / Notices is up to page 88870.  The federal government is busy.  Imagine how busy your State or Local Government has been.  Can anyone keep up with all these items?

From the current issue, there is a lot to cover.

The two Presidential Documents

  1. Continuation of the National Emergency With Respect to the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction by the Executive Office of the Presidenton 11/08/2024.

Another continuation of Executive Order 12938 from November 14, 1994.  This covers many areas of concern related to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.  Kind of important, but appears that we and other countries appear to continue to develop weapons of mass destruction.  It might be worth a review, instead of a continuation.

  1. Continuation of the National Emergency With Respect to the Threat From Securities Investments That Finance Certain Companies of the People's Republic of China by the Executive Office of the Presidenton 11/08/2024.

From the text of the document, “On November 12, 2020, by Executive Order 13959, the President declared a national emergency pursuant to the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.) to deal with the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States constituted by the threat from securities investments that finance certain companies of the People's Republic of China (PRC).” A one-year continuation is implemented with this document.

The one significant document:

Color Additive Certification; Increase in Fees for Certification Services by the Food and Drug Administration on 11/08/2024.

This final rule effective December 9, 2024 increases the fees for color additive certification services.  Since the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) utilizes its funding in an effective and efficient method, this increase will allow the FDA, “to continue to provide, maintain, and equip an adequate color additive certification program” which is required by the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act).

Everyone gets better services with more fees.  The government needs to make money also.

From USDebtClock.org

According to the US Debt Clock at roughly 5:30 AM, the US debt is roughly $35,981,022,000,000.    It seems that the debt per taxpayer is $272,821.   The good news is that the federal government revenue is roughly $5,028,581,000,000.  Not too shabby if you ask me.

Special Note: Interest of Debt (Net) is $987,655,000,000.

The Sun Update:

From Spaceweather.com, “INCREASING CHANCE OF FLARES: With the emergence of new sunspot AR3889 near the sun's eastern limb, there are now three big sunspots posing a threat for X-class solar flares. AR3889 joins AR3883 and AR3886, all of which have mixed-polarity (delta-class) magnetic fields susceptible to explosive magnetic reconnection. NOAA forecasters estimate 35% chance of X-flares on Nov. 8th. Solar flare alerts: SMS Text

Amazing website with great information about the Earth-Sun environment.

If you are not too busy today, then buy a shirt or two.
