Happy Monday!

You do not know what you do not know.

Interesting items today, 3 Presidential Documents and 1 Significant Documents.

The executive order 12170 from November 14, 1979 declared a national emergency with respect to Iran.  In the original Presidential Document, the purpose is to block all property and interests in property.

The 1 Significant Document relates to
Public Housing Evaluation and Oversight: Changes to the Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS) and Determining and Remedying Performance Deficiencies
by the Housing and Urban Development Department on 11/04/2024.

This proposed rule is open for public comment.  “The Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS) governs the assessments, evaluation, and oversight of public housing agencies (PHAs) administering public housing. This proposed rule would revise the weight of PHAS performance indicators to emphasize the importance of occupancy, financial condition, and physical assessments. To the greatest extent possible, scoring indicators would be based on measurable program outcomes and data that is already available to HUD. Additionally, the proposed revisions would allow HUD to respond more quickly and effectively to performance deficiencies when they are first identified, to intervene based on trending performance data, and to delay scoring or assessments when appropriate.”

The Sun

From Spaceweather.com, “A BIG ERUPTION ON COMET 29P: "Comet 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann has just undergone its most intense series of eruptions since 2022," reports Richard Miles of the British Astronomical Association. At least one ice geyser on the comet's surface has erupted, three times since Nov. 2nd, brightening the cryovolcanic comet one-hundred fold (5 magnitudes). "I expect to see the development of a complex expanding debris cloud over the next few days," says Miles. [updates]
