November 20, 2024 - Praise to American Education and National Apprenticeship Week

A wonderful Wednesday to you!

You do not know what you do not know.

November 20, 2024 is a good day for the federal government.  Today, the federal government currently has 157 documents from 54 agencies (498 Pages) with 128 Notices, 3, Presidential Documents, 8 Proposed Rules, 18 Rules, and 1 Significant Document.    With this current issue, Federal Register / Vol. 89, No. 224 / Wednesday, November 20, 2024 / Notices is up to page 92022.  The federal government is busy.

The three Presidential Documents:

American Education Week, 2024
by the Executive Office of the President on 11/20/2024.

This proclamation celebrates American Education Week.  Bringing the best in public education and the achievements to support students, this proclamation shows the actions to ensure success.  So, November 17 to November 23, 2024 is declared as American Education Week.

National Apprenticeship Week, 2024 by the Executive Office of the President on 11/20/2024.

This proclamation celebrates National Apprenticeship Week.  “Registered Apprenticeships is about doing what our Nation does best—investing in America and America's workers. This week, we celebrate apprentices nationwide, whose hard work has contributed so much to our Nation's economy and prosperity.” So, November 17 to November 23, 2024 is declared as National Apprenticeship Week.

To Facilitate Positive Adjustment to Competition From Imports of Fine Denier Polyester Staple Fiber by the Executive Office of the President on 11/20/2024.

This proclamation is a reprint from November 14, 2024.

The one Significant Document:

Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards; Pedestrian Head Protection, Global Technical Regulation No. 9; Incorporation by Reference by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on 11/20/2024.

This proposed rule is extended for comment to December 18, 2024.   With roughly 5.72K comments on the docket, this one is worth looking at in detail.

The summary, “NHTSA proposes a new Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) that would ensure passenger vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 4,536 kilograms (kg) (10,000 pounds (lb)) or less are designed to mitigate the risk of serious to fatal injury in child and adult pedestrian crashes. The proposed standard would establish test procedures simulating a head-to-hood impact and performance requirements to minimize the risk of head injury. This NPRM is based on a Global Technical Regulation (GTR) on pedestrian protection, with focused enhancements to address safety problems and a regulatory framework unique to the United States.

In short, the agency wants to know how to reduce the harm when a large vehicle collides with a child and adult pedestrian.  The focus as stated is to address safety problems and regulations unique to The United States.  Anticipated results, eliminate all cars, eliminate all pedestrians, or something else.

The comments are priceless!

US Debt Clock Update

According to the US Debt Clock at roughly 3:47 PM, the US debt is roughly $36,014,686,000,000.    The debt per tax payer is $272,821.   The good news is that the federal government revenue is roughly $5,046,351,000,000.  Not too shabby if you ask me.

Special Note: Interest of Debt (Net) is $997,561,000,000.
